With a capacity of 23,500, Manchester’s Co-op Live enforces a strict safety protocol, including a zero-tolerance policy on large bags, backpacks, and unapproved items.

What Bag Sizes Are Allowed?
Security at Co-op Live operates a strict one bag per person rule.
To bring a bag inside the concourse and bowl area, it must be A4-sized or smaller. Standard small cross-body bags, small clutch purses, and bum bags generally pass without issue, provided they do not exceed A4 dimensions.

Even if they are partially empty, the following bag styles are strictly prohibited past main security:

If you arrive at the Etihad Campus with a bag larger than A4 size, you will not be allowed through the ticket turnstiles. You have two primary options for storing your belongings:
1. Official On-Site Bag Drop (Blue Car Park)
Co-op Live operates a dedicated bag storage facility located in a portacabin within the Official Blue Car Park on the Etihad Campus.
Pricing:
£5: Small items (coats, large umbrellas, camera cases).
£10: Small bags and standard rucksacks.
£15: Large bags, suitcases, and heavy luggage.
Operating Hours: Opens when car parks open (4 hours before general admission doors) and closes 1 hour after the event finishes.
Warning: Capacity at the on-site bag drop is limited. On sold-out show nights, queues can build up quickly both before doors open and after the final encore.
2. Off-Site City Centre Luggage Storage (Recommended for Travelers)
If you are arriving at Manchester Piccadilly or Victoria train stations with heavy weekend bags, drop them in the city centre before taking the tram to the arena.
Services like Bounce, Stasher, and CitySpareSpace partner with local shops and hotels near Piccadilly Station to offer secure storage for £5–£7 per bag for the full day, saving you money and helping you avoid post-show retrieval queues at the venue.
Banned & Prohibited Items List
Before heading through security screening, make sure your pockets and small bags are free of the following restricted items:
Food & Drink
Outside Food or Snacks: Strictly prohibited unless required for proven medical reasons.
Bottles & Cans: Glass, aluminum cans, metal hydration flasks, and hard plastic bottles are banned.
Plastic Water Bottles: Sealed or empty plastic bottles are sometimes allowed, but security will remove and discard all bottle caps at the entrance.
Electronics & Media
Professional Cameras: Any camera with a detachable lens or zoom capability over 3 inches.
