Dave Grohl Teases The Rock Tour Nobody Expected

Dave Grohl has suggested he’d be more than happy for Foo Fighters and AC/DC to hit the road together after the two bands shared a bill in St. Louis.

Foo Fighters stepped in to support AC/DC on September 8 after The Pretty Reckless were unable to play, giving Grohl the chance to open for one of the bands that inspired him as a kid.

Speaking to the crowd before Everlong, Grohl described the night as a huge “bucket list check” before turning his attention to what could happen next.

He admitted he didn’t know whether Foo Fighters would ever open for AC/DC again, before adding that he thought it would make “a great fucking tour.”

The suggestion was immediately met with cheers.

Grohl has previously spoken about discovering AC/DC through the 1980 concert film Let There Be Rock, saying the band's intensity completely changed the way he thought about performing live.

For now, the St. Louis show remains a one-off. But judging by Grohl's reaction, Foo Fighters certainly wouldn't need much convincing to do it again.
