Frequently Asked Questions
Are these standing or sitting events?
The festival offers a relaxed environment. While primarily standing to enjoy the bands, there is a huge big top marquee providing shelter regardless of the weather, alongside plenty of communal spaces to relax between sets.
Is parking available at the venue?
Yes, limited parking is available right next to the venue. If you are travelling by public transport, the Tameside Stadium is highly accessible. It is just a 10-minute walk from the Ashton West Metrolink stop, which connects directly to Manchester City Centre in around 30 minutes.
Can I bring my own food and drink?
No outside food or drink is permitted on site. Bag searches will be in operation upon arrival, and typical items you cannot bring onto the site include food, drink, and glass objects (vapes and perfume bottles under 100ml are permitted). However, the festival boasts a fabulous choice of 5-star street food vendors and bars serving a great choice of beers, ciders, and spirits.
Can I leave the site and come back in?
You can leave the Fields Of Gold Festival site at any time during the day; however, you will not be allowed to re-enter the festival site once you have left.
Is there an age limit?
Yes, Fields Of Gold Festival is strictly an 18+ event. Organisers operate a Challenge 25 policy, so please ensure you bring valid personal ID with you, or you may be turned away at the gates. Because of this restriction, there are no child or youth tickets available.
What if it rains?
The festival is designed for all weather. A massive Big Top marquee (complete with Sky TV screens) covers the main festival area, keeping you dry and ensuring the party carries on rain or shine.
