    Releases: 30th September 2026

Pre-save: Another Broken Glass - Honest Work

Honest Work's Another Broken Glass is a stellar EP. The three singles already proved how good they are at big, no-nonsense rock songs, but the two new ones give a fuller picture of the band.

'Energy' is the biggest surprise. It's the bounciest, most playful thing here, with an indie feel that bursts into a huge chorus, and Tom Simpkins taking most of the lead vocal gives it a different character.

The title track goes the other way. Built around a really pretty acoustic guitar part, it’s the calmest moment on the EP before gradually building into a big crescendo at the end. It gives the record some variety without feeling disconnected from the heavier songs around it.

As for the ones I already loved: ‘Alone’ is packed with brilliant guitar work, ‘The Final Prose’ pairs a simple but seriously effective riff with a massive chorus, and the vocal melody and bass on ‘Horses For Meat’ are what make that one stick with me. Three truly excellent songs.

The drumming is great throughout too, always interesting but never busy enough to get in the way. There’s loads of character in the playing across the whole EP. This is a band with a lot more to come, and if Honest Work don't get a lot bigger from here, I'll be shocked.
