Mick Jagger has given Rolling Stones fans a fresh glimmer of hope, saying he is keen to get back on the road with the band.
Speaking in a new interview with Sunday TODAY, the 82-year-old frontman was asked whether The Rolling Stones could tour their upcoming 25th studio album, Foreign Tongues.
“I’d love to,” Jagger said, adding that he is “ready to go.”
However, fans may have to wait a little longer. Jagger suggested shows are unlikely this year, but said he hopes the band will return to the stage next year.
The update comes after previously planned UK and European stadium dates were reportedly scrapped, with Keith Richards unable to commit to touring.
With Foreign Tongues on the way, The Rolling Stones may not be done just yet.
