Noel Gallagher has indicated he may join his brother Liam in abstaining from alcohol during the newly announced Oasis Live '27 tour. In a talkSPORT interview following the announcement of the 38-date tour, the 59-year-old songwriter stated that maintaining stamina now requires a more disciplined approach than in previous years.
"Liam will be off the booze and I wasn't for the last tour, but I might be for this"
Noel said.
"You've just got to go to bed early. We can't do it like we did in the 90s; we can't even do it like we did in the 2000s, but you've got to pick your battles"
The decision to extend the reunion into 2027 was made during their initial 2025 tour. After opening in Cardiff on July 4, the band finalised plans for the next leg during their multi-night engagement at London's Wembley Stadium on July 26.
"It was after the second Wembley show [we decided to tour again]"
Noel noted.
"Nobody really knew what was going to happen, how it was going to go. We did Cardiff and Manchester and by the time we got to Wembley it was decided we were going to do it"
The updated schedule features extensive dates across mainland Europe, as well as rescheduled US shows in Boston and Las Vegas that were initially planned for the previous tour.
"We couldn't not do Europe because our fans in Italy and France and Germany and Spain have been brilliant"
Noel added.
"It was always the plan to do that. The Vegas and Boston gigs we were supposed to do last year"
Noel also addressed speculation about new studio sessions before the tour, confirming:
