Roger Taylor, the legendary drummer, songwriter, and vocalist from Queen, is performing tonight (28 September) at London’s famous Roundhouse. This is a special headline show that fans have been looking forward to.
This concert is part of a special six-date tour, which are Taylor’s only UK live shows this year. The event also celebrates the release of his seventh solo album, Violence Insane In A Beautiful World, now available from Columbia Records.
A Historic Return & A Brand-New Chapter
Tonight is a big return to the Roundhouse for Taylor. He last performed on the Camden stage in 2011 with the Foo Fighters.
For these rare solo shows, Taylor will be joined by his top-notch live band. The group includes Queen’s long-time keyboardist Spike Edney and drummer Tyler Warren.
Fans can look forward to a setlist that includes classic Queen songs and new tracks from Violence Insane In A Beautiful World. The self-produced album explores themes like global turmoil and hope, and features a mix of styles, a cover of John Lennon's "Jealous Guy," and the lead single "Come On Summer (It’s Party Time)," made with South Africa’s Ndlovu Youth Choir.
Camden Turns Queen Central for Freddie’s 80th Year
Taylor’s concert starts a week of Queen celebrations at The Roundhouse. This comes in the year that would have marked Freddie Mercury’s 80th birthday.
