"Same Feeling as Chasing Rainbows": Shed Seven's New Single ‘The Centre Of My Everything’

Shed Seven will release a new single 'The Centre Of My Everything', giving fans another look at their upcoming self-titled album. The album comes out on 8 January 2027 through Cooking Vinyl.

After the success of their last single, 'Stand Together', the York legends announced the new track and shared what it means for this stage of their career on social media.

What the Band Said

The band announced the release on Instagram, saying:

This song means a lot to us. When Rick and I were writing this, it gave us that same feeling we had almost 30 years ago when we wrote Chasing Rainbows.

Rick describes what it’s about better than I ever could:

“That feeling when love is all there is, when two are entwined as one, when nothing else matters apart from the other, when you can’t imagine a life lived alone, when you truly think of someone as being ‘The Centre Of My Everything’.”

It’s hard these days to get new music heard. Even convincing people to press play on a new song is a challenge........But this is one of the most special songs we’ve ever written, so tomorrow we’re simply asking you to give it a listen
