Shed Seven have just released a big teaser for their fans in their home county, indicating that a special concert in York is coming up.
Taking to Instagram as rehearsals ramp up for their upcoming anniversary dates, the band have confirmed that a formal announcement is about to be made, with official mailing list subscribers being given priority access.
Hometown Rumours & A Maximum High Anniversary Tour
Writing to fans on social media, the band teased:
"There is also a rumour of a York show being announced in a couple weeks time and mailing list will get first dibs."
The announcement comes as the band from York are about to start their A Maximum High 30th Anniversary Tour in Birmingham, an event dedicated to their landmark 1996 record. Having promised to play the entire album "for the last time... probably for another ten years", this anniversary tour is part of their ongoing four-month series of live dates throughout the UK and Ireland.
Alongside their autumn headline dates, Shed Seven have also mapped out an extensive record store tour for January 2027 to mark the arrival of their new record. Each date will feature a stripped-back live set followed by an exclusive album signing session.

The band’s eponymous seventh studio album, Shed Seven, arrives on 8 January 2027 via Cooking Vinyl. Featuring recent singles "Stand Together" and "The Centre Of My Everything", the 10-track project also includes guest appearances from Lotte Witter and Elles Bailey.
