"At Your Back and Heels" draws inspiration from the expansive sound of The War on Drugs and the emotional intensity of Sam Fender. Recorded during a severe snowstorm at producer Hamish Dickinson's studio near Nottingham, the track maintains a sharp, energetic quality that intensifies as it progresses.

The Masses describe the songwriting experience of the track as:

"One of those rare moments of a song seamlessly coming together without having to fight for it."

The music features swirling guitars and expansive synth textures layered over a strong rhythmic foundation, creating a spacious soundscape. The passionate vocal performance provides a clear focal point and a compelling hook, likely to inspire audience participation at upcoming performances.
