Who Will Support Oasis in 2027? Confirmed Acts & Biggest Rumours So Far

With the Oasis Live '27 tour officially confirmed, the biggest question about Liam and Noel Gallagher's return has been answered: Richard Ashcroft is returning as special guest. After weeks of speculation sparked by cryptic teasers and drone displays over Manchester about the 2027 tour, questions turned to who will support the brothers. The band confirmed the former Verve frontman as the main support act for the upcoming 38-date run. But who else might appear as support?

Richard Ashcroft Will Support Oasis in 2027: confirmed

It’s no shock that Richard Ashcroft is officially joining Oasis again for the Live '27 tour. The former Verve frontman was the special guest at all 19 UK and Ireland shows during the Live '25 run, continuing a legendary partnership with the Gallagher brothers that dates back to the early 1990s.

Oasis and Ashcroft have a long history together. Oasis opened for The Verve before they became famous, and Noel Gallagher dedicated "Cast No Shadow" to Ashcroft on (What's the Story) Morning Glory?. Ashcroft’s stadium sets were a hit in 2025, so bringing him back for 2027 was an easy choice. It proved to be a winning combination for the crowd.

Courteeners look like the early favourites

If there is one name worth watching, it’s Courteeners. Frontman Liam Fray was directly asked about the prospect of supporting Oasis in 2027 earlier this summer and said the band would “answer the call” if asked. Courteeners were already heavily linked with the original reunion dates before Richard Ashcroft and Cast eventually got the job. A Manchester homecoming with Oasis and Courteeners on the same bill, particularly if the reported Etihad Stadium residency happens, almost feels suspiciously obvious.

Cast appear less certain

Cast joined Ashcroft throughout the 2025 UK and Ireland tour, but John Power’s recent comments suggest they haven't simply been booked again. Asked about possible Oasis shows in 2027, Power said there were “a lot of rumours” and joked that he hoped he would at least get on the guest list. That hardly sounds like someone secretly preparing another giant Oasis support run, although plans could obviously change.

What about Blossoms or Kasabian?

Both are believable outside bets rather than genuine confirmed rumours at this stage. Blossoms were among the bands linked with the original reunion tour, while Kasabian have plenty of history with the Gallaghers and previously supported Oasis during their final tour in 2009. Both would comfortably handle a stadium crowd.

Other names being thrown around by fans include The Charlatans, Johnny Marr, Wolf Alice, Wunderhorse and Primal Scream, although there is currently little solid evidence connecting any of them to the 2027 dates.

While Ashcroft is confirmed, there is still room for additional support acts to join the 38-date tour. Oasis took a region-specific approach during Live ’25, pairing Ashcroft with Cast in the UK and Ireland and Cage The Elephant in North America. Fans can expect a similar strategy for 2027. With dates set across Europe and North America, Courteeners remain a prime candidate for select shows. Though Ashcroft leads the charge, more additions to the bill could be announced as rehearsals approach.
