Paul McCartney has announced a special in-conversation event in London, giving fans a closer look at the stories behind his latest album, The Boys of Dungeon Lane.
The event is set to take place at London’s Roundhouse on June 10th, with McCartney expected to discuss the making of the record, from his early sessions with producer Andrew Watt to the album’s deeply personal links to his childhood in Liverpool.
The new album has been described as one of McCartney’s most reflective releases, looking back on post-war Liverpool, his family, and the early days before The Beatles became what they are today.
One of the biggest talking points around the record is “Home To Us”, which features Ringo Starr, marking another emotional reunion between the two surviving Beatles. McCartney has also been sharing stories about the album at recent listening events, including one at Abbey Road, where fans were given an early preview of the new material.
At this stage, it is not clear whether the Roundhouse event will include any live performance, or whether McCartney will simply be talking through the album and its creation. Either way, it is likely to be one of those nights where every seat in the room suddenly feels like music history with a booking fee attached.
Tickets are due to go on sale at 10am on June 3rd.
